Is alipay safe?

Yeah its safe but I guess it depends on what you are using it for, for the general ecommerce it is reliable. I don't use it myself for ecommerce business, perhaps the only thing you want to check out is what is the amount required before they will perform the payment to you and the exchange rates if applicable, I've seen quite a few different version through different vendor. I stay in China and it is one of the 2 most common local payment method, the other being Wechat Payment. Hope this help.
