If you are a published author, you likely have some experience in marketing your Kindle books. I have published 26 books so far and I have found that it is a numbers game.
Of all of the books I have published, some will sell like crazy, some will sell OK, and some will not sell too many copies at all. Plus, there are those books that only sell during certain times of the year, such as gardening, seasonal sports (golf), and holidays (Christmas).
The books that sell like crazy take care of themselves. I don’t do much with them except check on their rankings every once in a while.
The books that are selling OK and the books that don’t sell too many copies at all require a bit more work. I need to get these books in front of potential customers, but with only 5 free promotion days every 90 days through KDP Select, sometimes that isn’t enough.
Also, with 26 books, I could easily spend all day (and all of my profits!) promoting and marketing my various books that are not top sellers. I don’t really want to spend all day marketing my books. I would prefer to just spend a short amount of time each day promoting my books and then spend the rest of my day either writing new books, or doing something fun with my family.
So, I spent a lot of time developing various marketing strategies for my books. I listed all of the marketing techniques I had tried and that had worked.
Then, I divided them up into time increments, such as 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes.
Here is what you will find in this book:
First, I will outline the various marketing avenues that I will be discussing, so that you can set up your accounts, if you haven’t already done so.
Then, I will give you examples of activities you can do to promote your book in just 5 minutes a day.
After that you will find a list of set-up work that should be done for each of the marketing avenues you intend to use.
Finally, I will give you a sample 90-day, 5-minute marketing plan for a newly released book.
